What Is the Nexa Nurse SOS Alert?
The Nexa Nurse SOS Alert is a safety and security feature within the Nexa Nurse App designed to protect Health Professionals while they are providing services to patients.
How It Works
During the onboarding process, every Health Professional is required to provide two (2) WhatsApp phone numbers belonging to trusted emergency contacts.
If a Health Professional feels unsafe or encounters an emergency while on a service, they can activate the SOS Button on the Nexa Nurse App.
Once the SOS Button is activated:
- An automatic SOS message is immediately sent via WhatsApp to the two emergency contacts registered by the Health Professional.
- Nexa Nurse is also alerted to the emergency.
- The SOS notification includes important information such as:
- The Patient’s Name
- The Health Professional’s Current Location
The Nexa Nurse Customer Care/Safety Team will make every necessary effort to contact both the Health Professional and the Patient to obtain first-hand information about the situation.
Where the situation warrants further intervention, Nexa Nurse may contact the appropriate security or emergency agencies for assistance.
